Heller and Company Inc., a large finance company, will not be forthcoming until after the Democratic primaries. The announcement was made by District Judge J.H. Starley as a hearing on the citation got underway this morning in 143rd District Couret. Judge Starley made the announcement after H.W. strasburger, attorney for the Heller interests, asked that politics not be made an issue in the hearing. One of the attorneys representing Heller is M. Warlick Carr of Lubbock, a brother of Waggoner Carr who is seeking the state's attorney general post. Opposing Waggoner Carr is Tom Beavley. Cited for contempt April 25 were Walter E. Heller and Company Inc., Robert I. Livingston of Chicago, Sidney Bloom of Chicago, Hilbert Kreeger Jr. of Chicago, Jules Green of Houston, John Foringer of Chicago, Frank Cole of Chicago, Warlick Carr, Marion T Key of Lubbock and R.B.

Voters to decide next November on mergers of districts
Administrators across the state say the school-district-unification plans sent to Gov. Janet Napolitano are not the answer to higher academic results. The report submitted Friday by the Arizona School District Redistricting Commission would affect more than 330,000 Arizona students. Twenty-seven districts would replace the existing 76 elementary and high-school districts, eliminating 49 districts of the state's 227. .

Sky Italia scores Serie A and teleports
From Branislav Pekic in Rome DTH platform Sky Italia has signed an agreement with all Serie A squads for the satellite TV rights for next seasons Italian football league which starts on August 25. This is the first time in several years that the entire package of league matches has been available on satellite from the very start of the competition. The return of Juventus, Napoli and Genoa to the Serie A has increased the value of the rights package, forcing Sky Italia to make an additional effort to secure all of the matches.

Between the Lines Latest Post | Last 10 Posts | Archives SAP: Business on track; Fourth quarter revenue up 10 percent Posted in: General Software Infrastructure SAP ERP SAP provided another data point on the health of the tech economy, outlining that its fourth quarter is on track. On Monday, SAP joined IBM in announcing that the fourth quarter was strong. SAP (all resources, BTL posts) said fourth quarter revenue is expected to be about 3.25 billion euros, up 10 percent from the same quarter in 2006. If you factor out the currency impact (the euro is stronger than the dollar) SAP's revenue growth was about 14 percent. Revenue for 2007 was 10.26 billion euros, up 9 percent from 2006. Those projections are in line with current estimates.
