Piano Wire Puppeteers: The Constitution, Media & Dennis Kucinich

Its already finally crashing under its own evil weight, so hopefully, its just a matter of time before it falls completely.

We have no nation as we knew it. What have are the remains of a nation, and the establishment who control the guns are running the joint. The administration. The parties. The media. The banks. The Gang. Them. This isn't a nation anymore. "They" are simply in control. Murdering, looting, threatening, and shoring-up their police state as the paranoid entity that They are. And the rest of us are just running for cover.

Thanks Mr. Pean, it was a great read. I'll take frank and to-the-point talk any day over the dull, boring and trivial crap that permeates most writing these days. At this point I could care less where the words stop or start. I just want something to the point and — honest.

It's a bit like the hush that falls over an audience just before the curtain goes up. Posted by PicasaThis orange calendula prepares for its moment in the sun at the feet of the Coronation Gold yarrow. Here's the Jupiter's Beard (centranthus ruber for the Latinistas...), also preparing to come into bloom. Yep, things are looking pretty sweet out there.Posted by PicasaThis fancy marigold, and five of his seedpack mates joined the cast of the garden yesterday, as I prepare beds for the impending planting out of our great looking tomato plants.Posted by PicasaHeading back to tour by the gardens around the house, I found the blue columbine opening nicely...Posted by PicasaThere's an old azalea at one end of the front garden. Last year I had to trim off lots of deadwood, and it's left looking almost standard-like, with some newer growth at the bottom.

Intel Washes Hands of OLPC Project

Intel has resigned from its seat on the OLPC project's board of directors. The two groups were perhaps an unusual pair, given that they make competing products: the XO laptop from OLPC and the Classmate from Intel, both designed to sell to schoolchildren in developing countries. Currently, XOs run on AMD chips. When the two got together this summer, Intel was expected to deliver chips to the second generation of XOs.

New ideas may test voters

They're places like shopping malls and community centers with lots of parking, eliminating small church basements and the occasional private residence where people still vote.

The trade-off: People can vote in any vote center that's convenient to them, as long as it's in the county where they live. The centers may be open longer hours. And with more staff and equipment in one place, there's more back-up if something goes wrong.

"It may be that they're much easier to do in Denver and Boulder - suburban areas - but not that easy to do in older cities like Dayton or Cincinnati," says Robert Stein, a Rice University elections expert who specializes in vote centers. They were pioneered in Colorado and were tried last year in a handful of counties in Texas and Indiana.
